Farmacia de los Austrias is a century-old pharmacy. Since it was built in the 19th century, it has operated uninterruptedly as an apothecary's shop. This makes it a special stop to understand and get to know the history of our city.
Farmacia de los Austrias is located in the traditional neighbourhood of La Latina, one of the most emblematic places in the city centre. It is the oldest neighbourhood in Madrid, where you can find representative places such as the San Miguel Market, the Plaza Mayor, the Cebada Market, the Royal Palace or the Puerta del Sol.
From this special environment, we work to offer the best health care to our neighbours, both new and old, as well as to all those who visit us.

A few years ago, the pharmacy was remodelled with the aim of respecting the classic lines of
the building and its surroundings, but at the same time making it a benchmark of modernity in terms of the interior. With the remodelling of the pharmacy, the classic silhouettes of the building and the surroundings were respected, with their traditional curved shapes. A modern touch, with colours that inspire closeness and professionalism.
This refurbishment, a mixture of tradition and avant-garde, led the pharmacy to appear in numerous design publications, winning several design awards, as an example of a synthesis between the old and the new, a space in which an almost musical harmony is created. For this reason, our pharmacy appears in numerous guides, and is regularly visited by both tourists and people specialising in the design sector.
Farmacia de los Austrias seeks to integrate itself as one more space in the area and its neighbours and visitors, moving away from the cold and aseptic tones associated with the pharmaceutical profession to provide a warm and friendly perspective.

The result in the pharmacy of the Austrias is a surprising exercise, closer to sewing than to construction.
They have approached the project from a fine and subtle interior design and subtle interior design that breaks with the confinement that we are used to that we are used to seeing in pharmacies.
Thin metal structures suspend the product on the bluish walls, creating a sweet and cosy chromatic range that makes us feel at ease.

The hydraulic tile floor fits perfectly with the coloured metal shelves.
